When it comes to helping the youth of America, you can help in lots of different ways. Some of the popular ways to help are the Big Brother and Big Sister program. This is a really cool program because you get to help out kids that don’t have much in life. You cannot underestimate the joy that helping somebody in need will bring to you. I remember I had a friend back during my school days that participated in this program as a little brother.

He was dealt a tough hand by life because his father was incarcerated for life and his mother had to work two jobs just to pay the bills. He would sometimes get in trouble and I couldn’t do anything to help him. I tried my best but being the same age as him, he didn’t see me as any help. I remember it all changed when he told me he had enrolled in the program.

He would tell me all about the cool activities his big brother would take him on. I remember feeling happy for him. This story should tell you a little about why youth foundations are so critical for our community’s youth. The majority of these kids are great kids who just happened to land in tough spots. With help from a youth foundation, they are able to turn their lives around and become productive member of society. Many small business have joined together in an effort to donate part of their earnings to foundations like this one. I know of a plus size wedding dresses store that donates 1% of every dress sale to youth foundations. It really makes a difference.  I still keep in touch with my friend and he now realizes the impact that the youth foundation had on him.
